What Causes Depressed Feelings After Child Birth?

Is it normal for me to be feeling out of sorts and unhappy when my daughter is 4 months old? don't get me wrong, i love her and wouldnt trade her for anything, but nothing seems to make me feel really happy right now or even content, i just feel out of sorts and restless

I would not say it is nomal but it is common occurrence during post partum period. Almost one fourth of women feel blue and depressed after child birth and it is very common cause of morbidity.

You are not to blamed as it is hypothesized due to change in hormones.

I like to assure you that it is treatble and it is not wise to wait further. It is high time to get appointment with your psychiatrist as soon as possible.
