However, one has to exclude other common causes which can delay regular period like: - stress which disrupts the ovulation: since you are worried [under stress] which is causing your body to secrete more cortisol which delays or stops ovulation altogether causing irregular periods 3. Consult a Gynecologist for other causes of delayed periods like PCOD, being over weight, high prolactin level, pelvic infection, irregular diet, thyroid disturbance etc which can also cause irregular period. 4. check with UPT [urine pregnancy test] and repeat the test after 1 week to rule out pregnancy.
