What Causes Delayed Periods With Spotting And Pelvic Pain?
Hi! I recently had a very short period (as in 1 day of a little blood and one day of brownish spotting) and it started a day or two late. Then now I have pelvic cramps that I have been having all day since 8 am this morning here in California and it is now 4:38. I took a pregnancy test shortly after my short period and it came back negative. I am worried because my period was so short and now that I have this pelvic pain that there is something else going on. Any suggestions or recommendations? Thank you

Hi, I understand your query & concern. A scanty & short period with pelvic cramps - can be due to- - pregnancy, with implantation bleeding. The pregnancy test you performed was a bit earlier, it should be after 8 days of expected date of menses.Pl. repeat it again in proper time, In case the pelvic cramps are severe, you can go for blood HCG testing a lab. test. & if it turns to be +ve- consult gynecologist for medicines ( usually progesteron supplement) I If pregnancy test is -ve, the cause may be, PCOD, ovarian/ thyroid problem. these investigations & treatment by a gynecologist. Thanks.
