doc I started using daphne last april 24 i have my menstrual period last april30-may 2 after finishing the packed of Daphne I started taking althea suppose to be my menstrual period might arrived June 6 but up to now I haven t yet?is it possible that I am pregnant or is it side effect of althea pills...please need your advise...
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Daphne pills has active ingredient 'Lynestrenol'. Althea pills consists of Cyproterone Acetate and Ethinyl Estradiol. When you take such hormone preparations and change the medications with different combinations, you could anticipate symptoms related to menstrual disturbances like delay in getting periods. Kindly wait for 10 days and if you do not get your periods by then, you would need to be evaluated and treated accordingly by suitable medication. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard for evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best. Regards, Dr.Ashakiran.S., MBBS., MD.
