What Causes Delayed Periods And Cloudy Urination?

Hello, I am 18 years old. My menstrual cycle is a week late as of today. I have taken a total of three pregnancy tests within the last couple of days. My urine has been cloudy lately and I have no idea why. There has not been a change in my diet nor am I dehydrated. My body feels as if I m about to start my period but there is no sign whatsoever.

Hi,

I understand your concern.

Your case in brief:
- 18 years old female
- delayed menstrual cycle of a week as of today
- 3 pregnancy tests recently showing no pregnancy
- urine found cloudy recently
- no changes in diet/nor dehydrated
- symptoms of periods to come but no periods in

Taking all these info into account, I can advise as following:
- the presence of cloudy urine is suggestive of possible urinary or genital tract infection. Further urine analysis and vaginal swab testing advised to rule them out.
- Sometimes, the cloudy urine is prior to periods to come. Wait for a few more days as infection is confirmed, it could explain the delayed periods
- Keep drinking plenty of fluids and keep a good personal hygiene
