What Causes Delayed Period After Taking I-pill While HPT Is Negative?

My last period was on 16th june, I took ipill on 23rd with in 12hrs after intercourse. My periods have not yet started, its almost 3weeks from expected date. Mankind pregnancy test kit gave negative results which i did on 39th day after my last period. Why the delay?

HI,
Welcome to HCM,
I read your query and i appreciate your concern regarding this issue.
As per details you took contraceptive pill, delay in menstural cycle can be a side effect of that.
After taking contraceptive there are less chances of pregnancy as it gives 84% protection. But we can not comment on pregnancy without ultrasound or any test. So i would advise you to go for Pelvic Ultrasound to rule out the cause or pregnancy.
Then consult with Gynaecologist.
I would Suggest you to avoid unprotected intercourse if you do not want pregnancy.
