What Causes Delay In Periods, cramps, back Pain And Excess Of White Discharge?

Hello, my LMP was around Nov. 28th. I had unprotected sex on Dec. 11th. On Dec 16th I had a clear stringy glob of discharge with a small brown streak in it, along with the start of cramps, back pain and breast tenderness. Over the next week my cramps and back pain are very uncomfortable and make it hard to sleep at night, along with being gassier than normal and almost large amounts of white milky discharge. It is now Dec 21st and I havn’t missed my period yet but am very worried. I have taken a pregnancy test at home and it was negative. Just wondering what you thought about all this. Thank you.

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. I have gone through your query and would like to offer some suggestions. You had the intercourse during the fertile or ovulation period. Hence, you have high chance of conception. The spotting and discharge you observed is suggestive of expulsion of some altered blood. It does not correspond with ovulation; nor does it mean an implantation bleed. It is likely to be some breakthrough spotting. Your symptoms are not specific to pregnancy. they can be seen during the premenstrual period as well. If you wish to have a clarification earlier than your expected period, please go for the blood test to exclude/confirm pregnancy and plan further management. Hope this helps.
