Hello,

You have been having unprotected sex and have taken unwanted 72 within 48 hours, you took unwanted 72 earlier in the month also. Presently, you are not having periods. You are suggested to have a pregnancy test if you do not get your period within 2 weeks after taking emergency contraceptive pills.

Get clinically examined by a gynecologist. Get all tests and investigations done. Ideally you shouldn't be pregnant but if you are, you will be managed accordingly. Sometimes, emergency contraception can change the length of the periods (MC), making your next period come as much as a week earlier or a week later than usual. If you are having issues due to hormonal changes, it will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
