What Causes Delay In Periods In Spite Of Taking Contraceptive Pill?
Hiii, I had unprotected sex on oct28 and took the morning after pill , then had sex again on Nov1 and took the pill again. Had a light bleeding three to four days later. Thinking it was implantation bleeding I had a pregnancy test after the blood stopped but cane it negative. I m 10 days late for my period ,pls whats going on cos I m paranoid.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have delay in periods in spite of taking contraceptive pill . Well in pills, estrogen and a synthetic progesterone (progestin) is taken each day and eventually some of patients on oral contraceptive pills skip or have no periods. The thinning effect of the progestin part of the pill eventually won out. You will need a more estrogenic pill for you period to return, but there is no harm if you don't cycle. You can also consult gynecologist if periods further delay . Also do UPT test .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
