What Causes Delay In Periods Despite Taking Diane-35 Pills?

I took diane 35 in july and i left it only after one cycle. I never had irregular periods but i was suffering from pimples so my doctor recommended me to have diane 35. After stopping the pills i have completed two menstrual cycles and i was expecting the third one on 12th september but till now I haven t got my periods. Could i be pregnant?

Thanks for contacting HCM with your health concern

1. If in between after stopping the pills [cyproterone-ethynil estradiol] you had unprotected sex then chances are you might be pregnant so take a home UPT [urine pregnancy test] or consult your gynecologist for the same.

2. Since any pill disturbs the hormonal balance thus could be the same in you, so having an appointment with OBGYN doctor is necessary to exclude other causes of delayed period like: PCOD,being over weight, high prolactin level, pelvic infection, irregular diet, thyroid disturbance

PS. check with UPT [urine pregnancy test] 2 weeks after last intercourse and repeat the test after 1 week to rule out pregnancy.
