What Causes Delay In Periods And Pelvic Cramps Despite Taking Primolut?

Hi. I took primolut for 5days 1x a day every night. My OB told me that after 2-3days ill have my period. But its the 8th days since i last took it. Should i be bothered? I am having pelvic cramps 2days after i took it and my breast feels a little tender too.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic Forum.
I have gone through your Query & I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing.

As a physician I would like to tell you that your Obgy doc wae quite right to point you out that your periods will return 3-4 days after you stop primolut-N. But, in some cases the time may vary and take upto 8-10 days to return.

Thus, I would like to tell you that if you did't had any sexual contact in this period yo need not to worry about a thing and you shoul wait for at least 15 days. If the periods doesn't return then you have to see your Obgy doctor.

Thanks for Trusting & Posting your Query on this forum.
Hope this will help you. Feel free to ask any further question.
Have a nice Day.

Regards,
Dr.Abhijeet
