What Causes Delay In Periods And Abdominal Cramps While On Depo Shot?

hi Doctor my question is how come I haven t gotten my period in 33 days. last depo shot December 2, 2015. I had a month long period in January, and even though I was on depo,my cycle was never late. yes I am sexually active without protection and trying to conceive. I already have a 2 year old. took preg. test at doctor 2 weeks ago negative. took home test 2 days ago neg. I have cramps but no period fo 11 days now. I keep feeling fluttering in my abdomen. whats going on with me? please help

Hello dear,
Understand your concern

Following are side effects of depot shot:
1. Doesn’t protect against STIs
2.weight gain, tiredness, and possibly a decrease in bone density
3.very irregular menstrual bleeding or spotting.
So i think it is may be side effects of depo shot.

But as you did unprotected intercourse.
You have to confirm pregnancy by testing Blood HCG level as it is more specific than urine HCG kit.

If necessary consult with gynecologist and do usg and full hormoone profile like LH, FSH, estrogen, progesterone, thyroid profiele.
