What Causes Delay In Periods After Retrieval Of Depo Shot?

hi i am a 29 yr old w 3 girls! the doctor took me off the depo shot bout a month ago cause i would not stop bleeding! i had a dark period after that and have not had period since! i just recently had white creamy discharge and nipples very sore im moody all the time and tired also very stressed! please tell me what i should do

Hi,

In the current scenario, I would ask you to go for a proper evaluation by a gynecologist. This is to exclude/confirm pregnancy, hormonal imbalances and infections etc. The dark period you had after coming off the Depo shot is mostly a withdrawal bleed. Return of ovulation usually takes 3 to 6 months after coming off the shot. Some people go without a period for 12 months also. So, please do not stress. You may have an impending period going by your symptoms. Just get a check up and plan further management.
