Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello,
I understand your concern.
I am Dr. Arun Tank, infectious diseases specialist, answering your query.

In my opinion your friend is having dengue.

Dengue causes platelet destruction along with hemorrhagic potential.

As the platelet gone down and the blood pressure is also decreased it is suggestive that the dengue is in the advance stage.

Dengue dose not have the exact treatment as such. It requires plenty of fluids to get it corrected.
Your friend is not taking the fluids orally which is very bad thing

I suggest he/she must take as much fluids as possible. It will dilute the blood virus a d mitigates its effect.

Please make constant check on the blood platelet count.

I will be happy to answer your further concern, you can ask me on bit.ly/DrArun.
Thank you.
