What Causes Dark Skin Around The Ankles?

Hi I have noticed slight discolouration around both my ankles, it does not hurt but it looks like a lot of tiny brown veins or bruising. It has been there for a while and I have a dark vein just below my right knee top of calve which has started to hurt. What do I need to do and is it serious? Thank you Darrin

it is due to overpigmantation and friction with tight shoe. as such it is normal and no treatment is required.
