What Causes Dark Lips?
Hi,my baby was born at 27weeks.the inner half of his top nd bottom lips are very dark.the outer halfs are pink.we are african american.however he is a month and old now and they are not turning pink.i delivered via emergency c section due to placenta abruption.

The color of lips as you mentioned is seen in many children. I must reassure you that its not an abnormality. The reason is hard to point out. However, this color will change in dye course, might take 2-4 months. Keep cleaning on daily basis. Thats all you need to do. Dont worry and enjoy your baby. Take care.
