OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi, I have gone through your question.Dark green or black stools occur while one is on iron tablets. It indicates that the iron is properly absorbed in the body.
Brown discharge or spotting in pregnancy can be due to
1. Bleeding around the foetus( subchorionic haemorrhage)
2. Missed abortion
3. Ectopic pregnancy
I would suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist and get properly Examined, investigated( ultrasound) and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
