Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter started crying in her sleep. She is two years old and was shivering. It wasn t cold in her room, but once we calmed her down she seemed to stop. Her temp was 98.6. She said everything hurt, but wasn t all that responsive. Usually when she wakes up she gets a second wind and we can t get her back down. Currently she is sleeping again without shivering. Is this something to be concerned about?
Probably this is viral prodrome, and she may develop fever in next 24 hours. No need to worry, give Paracetamol 3 times daily for 2 days. If no relief by then or she develops fresh symptoms, we can evaluate further.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
