What Causes Crossed Eye?

Hi, for the second time in a month, my right eye seemed to go cross eyed for a brief time. I had an eye exam last month when it happened but the doctor could not find anything wrong. Is there something I should look into? I wear glasses for nearsightedness. sorry to have bothered you i did not realize i have to pay for the answer.

Hi,

Excessive action of the eye muscle used for convergence while doing near work can cause the condition of crossed eye. this will happen especially when you are not using near glasses and trying to do near work for long hours. the condition can be due to convergence excess or accommodation excess.

You are required to take breaks while you are working for long hours esp while doing near work. Break every 20 minutes. Take a course of multivitamins and antioxidants. If this does not help them revisit your ophthalmologist for dilated refraction.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
