What Causes Cramps In Calves And Legs After A Heel Injury?

hi, many years ago (bout 13) i fell off of a roof and crushed my heel. It has never healed nor will it. I have always been a physical person and have made it through til now. I have never been able to run but can walk on it but when i do in these winter months with many clothes on and walking on uneven ground with out stable support in the shoes i often get the cramps usually in the mornings. The calves of my legs are the biggest problem and its bed time now, and i dread the morning knowing those cramps are coming

Hi dear... I understand these morning cramps are quite painful....One best way to be safe is to go to bed at night with warm stockings and protect your limbs from exposure to the cold.
Since you get the cramps, do get your blood pressure,ECG, sugar lebvels,a complete blood profile,sodium,b6, potassium, thyroid profile. These investigations are to assess whether there is any deficiency in any of these... Which can lead to cramping...
You can also take either multivitamin pills every day or Inj.Neurobion forte once a week to keep these cramps at bay..
Hope these answer your questions dear.
Take care.
