What Causes Cramping In Lower Belly?

After sitting for a long period of time, I have noticed since early last week that I am getting severe cramping in my lower belly, especially on my lower left side. It takes me a while to straigthen up when I get up. What could be the cause of this recent issue?

Hello,my name is dr.Dorina Gurabardhi.I understand your concern.
Some reasons can be:
-In irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
-inflammation of an organ (for example, appendicitis, diverticulitis, colitis)
-blockage of a bile duct by gallstones
The cause of abdominal pain is diagnosed on the basis of its characteristics of the physical examination and testing so I sugesst you to see a local doctor for a proper diagnose.
Hope my answer was helpful. If you have any other question Ill be glad to help.
Regards,
