Hello,

Since you are having feeling of pressure and ringing in your ears you are suggested to avoid swimming. While taking bath and showers be careful not to let any water droplets enter into your ears. Such symptoms arise cause of exposure to loud sounds, muscle spasms inside ears, excessive earwax.

Ringing in the ears is a symptom of tinnitus, you are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT, get all tests and investigations done to rule out partial or complete rupture of eardrum, infection due to swimming, rupture of eardrum, etc. You may need to take audiometry test to detect the degree of hearing loss. You will be treated with medicines, hearing aid or surgery if needed.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
