What Causes Coughing Up Of Phlegm, Sore Throat And Chills?

Last Monday night I had a sore throat, chills, and a slight fever. By Wednesday, the sore throat was diminishing and my illness morphed to coughing up and blowing out green phlegm. I feel okay now but am still having coughing attacks throughout the day and am blowing and coughing up phlegm (although it has lightened to a yellowish green).
