What Causes Coughing And White, Chalky, Powdery Substance From Mouth?

Hello, I'm 14 and today I started violently coughing and a horrible, white, chalky-powdery substance came out my mouth. It tasted horrific and I felt really dizzy. I have never smoked or taken drugs.. I hadn't eaten since the day before. Do you know what this could be? thanks

Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
the cough could be due to some irritation in any part of respiratory track. could be of various reasons like allergy or infection and so on.
The white chalky material that came out could be something from the tonsils in the throat. that smells very bad. just do gargling with warm water with salt. you will get relieved of symptoms.
