What Mucolytic drug you are on?
Also Mucolytic drugs act on chest secretions and liquifies chest secretion helps to bring out chest secretions by liquifying it. Cough may be due to liquified mucus.
If there its not very severe than you should avoid mucolytic, if you need to take due to severe symptoms than you should consult your obstetrician for best suitable mucolytic.
