What Causes Cough In The Evening After Curing From Cold?

Im 28 years old, weigh 150 lbs and am rarely sick. I got a cold recently and feel pretty darn good now during the day but have a cough in the evening, through the night and this morning when I woke up I barely had a voice. Wondering if I can get some information on if this just goes with the cold or could be something more severe? I have not run a fever.

Hi thanks for asking question.
Here on preliminary history provided by you , it seems to be laryngitis or case of pharyngitis.
Mostly it will be viral infection.
Treat your condition symptomatically.
Do your complete blood examination. If it shows more lymphocytosis then chances of viral infection. If total count high with more neutrophil then bacterial infection may be there.
Drink more water and fruit juices.
Take fried and fatty food to a minimum for few days.
You also can examine your larynx by direct laryngoscopy examination.
I hope my suggestion will help you.
If still no improvement then further examination is done and accordingly investigated.
