What Causes Cough And Excessive Mucus In The Throat While On Ramipril?
I have been taking ramipril for a year now and I have this cough and so much mucus and it's in my throat which I am constantly trying to clear my throat. It keeps me awake at night..Could this be a side effect of this drug? It however is the only one that keeps my BP in check. Is there another one that could help or what can I do to alleviate this problem? I have tried several BP meds but didn't have good success with them. Any suggestions would be helpful...Thank you.

Your cough condition is due to the medication Ramilpril. When having your case or I will replace ACE inhibitors cause coughing by using a new medication called angiotensin receptor antagonists II (as losartan, valsartan, irbesaetan, candesartan ...). Or I fell 1/2 Ramfipril dose you are taking and combine 1 tablet 25mg Hypothiazide to maintain stable BP.
