General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

If you are bleeding for more than 2 weeks you need to see your doctor. A gynecological exam to visualize your cervix and also a transvaginal ultrasound to check the womb and rule out masses there are needed.

The doctor may also take a pap smear if you are due or if he notices any changes in your cervix and also may take samples to rule out sexually transmitted diseases.

According to the results of these tests and examinations, the doctor will further decide on management.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.

Regards,
