What Causes Continuous Headache And Fever?

I have had a headache for three days solid, and yesterday had a fever of 100.5 but was freezing cold and no medication has helped any ideas? also have been coughing and had phlegm for about a week, just thought it was a cold or bronchitis but it is just getting worse....

1. headache and fever both can be a serious condition which has to be discussed with the doctor immediately and can range from localized infection [sinus infection] or meningitis

2. conditions which have to be excluded with headache and fever include:
. viral infection [influenza, pneumonia, meningitis]: medicine specialist opinion is necessary for CT scan of brain or lumbar puncture. [if required]

. chronic sinusitis or sinus infection [one has to exclude other symptoms like: facial tenderness/swelling, ear pain, tooth pain,thick nasal discharge] and if is the reason thus can be controlled with fluids, rest,steam and antibiotics.

. acute stress infection
