What Causes Constipation & Nausea?

I had been to the E.R. 3 seperate times. Complainging of abdominal discomfort/pressure Gas, butterfly in stomach feeling. Feeling heavy from back of neck down/ occasional nausea and dry vomiting along with constipation (most days I can't go ) and Occasional days where it is either a fluid or its not soft nor hard and it's just gooey and in pieces. They did a ct scan at one hospital Non contrast and said everthing is fine. The other hospital I went to was 60 miles away and they did a ct scan WITH contrast and said everything looked fine even the blood results.

The latter said it was a possibility of Prostatitis ( Infection of Prostate) Which can put pressure on bladder ( urgency to urinate/not feeling done after urinating ) and a slight tingle/burning ( like a heat pack on loewr abdomen ). I feel like I have something moving in my anus and can't quite figure it out. I always feel hungry. I eat and i still feel hungry. I feel so drained at times ( some days better than others ) I can't sleep whatsoever and when I doze off it's like Im alerted to everything around me and my mind is racing and im not really getting any rest. I;ve got a slight pressure on my lower back at times and sitting can be uncomfortable i have to move around but when i do i feel weak sometimes. The dr said the Prostatitis can cause the pressure there as well.

I am a 24 year old male. Semi-active lifestyle yet don't excercise all too often ( less you count work ) Usually up-beat and happy and outgoing dancing around . these feelings had hit suddenly one day Almost a week ago monday.

I've noticved mucus on the stool sometimes its in copius amounts then others not so much. I thought it might be worms so I bought Reese's Pinworm with Pyrantel Pamoate suspension 144Mg/mL and seemed to alleviate some issues but after an hour it starts coming back. I used the rest room ( very little ) and used a glove to examine what came out and something was there but i dont really know what I am looking for.

The CT's came back saying everything looked good. Blood work came back good. But do these things ALWAYs show up on them?

What can i do to get back to my active lifestyle? Im tired of being constantly fatigued, jittery,, chilly etc. let me know what I can do or if there is anything else out there that can help with the condition. I have no insurance so i cant afford a GP and the ER's just seem to want to hurry and get me out because i dont have any insurance.

Oh and at times when I lay down to try and go to bed it feels like my heart is racing in my chest/ fluttery feeling like butterflies below the ribcage and on top of stomach. and when it gets soo bad it feels like i stop breathing and start again.

I also have history of internal hemmorhoids. Could this plus Prostatitis cause constipation? I had small amounts of bright blood in toilet bowl with or without movemebnt but bought some hemmy suppositories and it stopped.

Let me know if you havbe any advice. Thanks.

Rick.

Hi,

The presence of mucus in stool is common. And normal in some amounts. However, a large amount of visible mucus in your stool isn’t normal and might be a sign of a problem.

If you begin seeing mucus in your stool, the levels are probably already elevated.

That doesn’t necessarily indicate you have a problem, but it’s something you should monitor especially if there is blood in stool or pain during defecation.

In such cases, it may be caused by inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's or ulcerative colitis. IBS or infectious colitis are other causes but it would be associated with fever and loose stools.

All in all, you should wait for a few days, have an easy diet, a lot of fluids and see will it improve. If not you should do a colonoscopy as a start of work up.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
