What Causes Constipation And Scaly Spots On The Buttocks?

My 4 year old grandson has been having trouble with constipation recently and he has developed scabbed over spots on his buttocks and upper thighs. They started out almost looking like chicken pox but only on the buttocks and onto his thighs. His stools have been hard and sometimes cause a little blood on the tissue, stools are brown in color. We are concerned about the spots at this time, we are treating the constipation.

Hello,

I should have a look at the scaly spots on myself so please do not hesitate to send a photo of the spots to me.

Should determine what is causing constipation to him:

- bowel candida infection or even parasites. Get a stool examination to rule them out.

- lack of fibre in foods he consumes. Should revise his current diet and add more fiber in. Fiber supplement can help too.

- increase water intake.

- check for signs of hemorrhoids.

- apply zinc oxide cream locally. If no improvement, then, apply miconazole cream.
