What Causes Constipation And Rashes On The Body After Taking Miralax?
My 4 yr old grandson was taking Miralax. The Polyethylene glycol. He was taking it while in the hospital and we discharged to continue care at home. He is still having the constipation and now has red dots, some swollen, rash on his elbows, hands, legs and butt. We stopped the dose. What can we do about the rash? The medicine was working fine. Just not wanting to give him anymore since the rash. His constipation pain is off and on but intense.

My Opinion is that he may be reacting to the rash.
I however suggest you see your attending paediatrician for expert evaluation of the rash, and to rule out other possible cause of the rash.
In the interim, you may give him syrup Loratidine.
