About 2 months ago, I went to the ER for constipation (have no insurance or money). The doctor did a x-ray and confirmed I was constipated. This went on for about 2 more weeks, so I went to another ER at a different hospital. They did a MRI of my abdomen, because I had complained that I felt I had a knot and my abdomen on the left side had a heaviness feeling too it. They also did a blood and urine test, which both came back ok, however when the MRI results came back, the doctor said my colon and lypmh node was swollen, also there was no stool in the colon. So I was diagnoised with Gastroenteritis.
The following weekend all the symptoms had went away, however I have now became paranoid that I might end up constipated again, so I have been trying to have a bowel movement 3-4 times a day. I'm assuming as a result of this, I have had some blood in my stool, which is always bright red. The majority of it is on the paper when I wipe, however there has been a spot of blood on the stool occasionally, although I have never seen a streak or any significant amount. This has went on for about a month now. Also I have only noticed it around once a week, although the only times I notice it is during when I strain. My stool has been coming out normal, I haven't not noticed any difference in it. The only symptom that I have is the blood every once in awhile.
My question is, would this likely be from something else beside colon cancer? As I said I don't have insurance nor the money for a colonscopy. Honestly I would if I was able to, since it would ease my mind, but at this time it not really a option for me. Also I am 30 years old.
