What Causes Constipation After A Laparoscopic Surgery For Hernia?
Hi, I only recently had a hernia laparoscoply repaired 2 wks ago. I have been constipated since and taking stool softeners. But only in the last few days noticed I have hemorrhoid pain and a nasty painful lump under the skin near my anus. Hurts to sit, go to toilet and basically move??

There is usually certain period of slowed peristaltic several weeks after surgery so this should not worry you . You should just drink more fluids and avoid fried and fatty food. Also,laxatives may be used in severe cases.
