It usually is due to a viral illness. Make sure your baby had a timely
vaccine for
ROTAVIRUS (in the form of drops). If not given on time, give a catch up vaccine for the same.
This is a
gastroenteritis due to viral illness and usually is self limiting and may take 1-2weeks to get better.
If I was his treating physician I would have prescribed him with
Ondansetron drops to control
vomiting and Tylenol if fever.
Keep an eye to see if he is wetting the diapers properly. If not it means he is getting dehydrated. You need to give him
Pedialyte oral rehydration solution to get him revitalized.
His feces will get better once he takes proper diet and gets rehydrated.
