What Causes Constant Shoulder Pain After An Injury?
I had a fall last winter and fall back with my left hand flat in the floor and injury my left shulder receiving all the weight of my body in it. Went to the orthopedic doctor took xrays and mri and he said that i only have inflation but i took medication for it (inflation and rest) and i notice that the pain in the shoulder is getting worst and is not getting better at all. The pain is there but more when i lift the arm over my head. The pain is sharp and constant, and feel like someone had punch me and also like the pain that you have when u get the flu shoot. Any suggestion ?
Hello dear user, thanks for consulting Healthcaremagic and sharing your concerns, I thought due the trauma you got a muscle damaged and joint distended I advice you take non steroid anti-inflammatory/ pain killers meds such as ibuprofen 2-3 times a day about 10 days, apply ice-bad 3 times a day in your left shoulder x 20-30 minutes , vitamins supplements ( B ) works great, a gentle massage with ice/ hot gel cream 3 times a day is really helpful and limit your movements wearing a brace, if the symptoms still persist after 10-15 days a doctor should be consulted. I hope that my advice has been helpful Wishing you a good health Dr Tania Portelles-Driggs
