What Causes Constant Pain In The Abdomen On The Left Side?

I m having a constant pain in the belly area on the left side. Had it for 7 days. It comes and goes. Just below the rib cage. At first it was a pulsating pain like a muscle spasm but now its continuous. Sometimes it spreads to the upper back area still on left side. I seem to have diarea after eating.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, it needs to be evaluated on ultrasound abdomen and spleen should be examined by your primary care physician.

If normal, it can be due to stomach lining inflammation called gastritis and may need antacids like Omperazole before meals as well as Motility agents like Domperidone. Avoid spicy food and fizzy drinks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
