Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my daughter is 34 yrs old and has been in pain for years the cartilage in her points is pretty much gone she is on a lot of pain meds but her blood tests come out fine , what do you think she needs to be tested for that they maybe over looking ? YYYY@YYYY
Hii , Welcome To HCM & Thanks For Asking Your Query Here
as you said the cartilages in her Joints are pretty much gone it is very much possible that she might have some underlying medical condition which is affecting her bone and joints including osteoporosis , Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) ,Osteoarthritis etc , this problem may also be associated with severe calcium deficiency and it needs thorough medical check up and investigations to spot a confirm diagnosis
She Needs To be tested for every possible underlying medical condition mentioned above and I would strongly suggest you to see ur GP He will examine her thoroughly and will go for blood tests including a blood test for RF (Rheumatoid factor ) and all other required investigations to rule out any underlying medical condition
I hope it help Thanks & Get well Soon
