What Causes Constant Neck Pain After Cold And Fever?
A few days ago i have had all the symptoms of a cold i.e. coughing sneezing and runny nose, I had a fever for over 2 days which has subsided now. My only concern is that I have a constant pain in my neck similar to whiplash restricting my movement there is no swelling is this normal when you have a cold? A colleague at work had similar symtons
Your symptoms seem to be related to a viral infection. The neck pain sees to be related to the muscular issue. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms.
I also suggest using warm compresses at the neck area. I recommend drinking liquids and rest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
