What Causes Constant Headaches And Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Groin Area?

Hello, I am a 22 year old female. I have been experiencing constant headaches the past week or so, that come and go. I noticed one of my lymph nodes were swollen near my groin area on the left side, it s tender to the touch. I ve also experienced an increase in fatigue and have had both hot flashes and cold spells. My neck has been stiff, but I also have always had problems with that and assumed I needed an adjustment. The headaches and the swollen lymph node are what concern me most. I usually get headaches, but not this frequent. I have been waking, feeling as though I were hungover, but hadn t consumed alcohol the night before. I have hypothyroidism, have had lymes disease, and was diagnosed a few years back with RA. I m wondering if I m not just really dehydrated? I haven t been good about taking my Armor Thyroid medication every morning for the past week either. I had a cbcd done and my lymphocytes and monocytes were a little elevated but my white blood cells were within normal range.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Lymphadenopathy may be benign, self-limited process or may be a sign of serious underlying disease. Infections, malignancy and immunologic disorders account for most of the cases of lymphadenopathy. Pathological enlargement is most commonly due to skin infections or sexually transmitted diseases (syphilis, HSV, Chlamydia). Malignancies are rare.
Advice
1.     Amoxicillin 500 mg three times daily per oral for 10 days
2.     Ibuprofen 400 mg per oral after meal when you feel headache
3.     Investigations – CBC, ESR, Hb%
4.     If lymph node swelling does not regress after 10 days of amoxicillin, get done:
a.     Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology (FNAC) of inguinal lymph node
b.     Chest X – ray PA view
For your hypothyroid problem
Hypothyroidism is due to deficiency of secretion of thyroid hormone from thyroid gland. Levothyroxine is the treatment of choice for hypothyroidism. You need to take levothyroxine for life-long regularly and daily. Any interruption in treatment will cause symptoms of hypothyroidism.
Advice
1.     Take medicine regularly as suggested bt your doctor
2.     Investigation – serum TSH
For your RA problem
You have not mentioned any problem and treatment status. It is difficult to suggest anything. But it is also a life-long problem but effective treatment is available. Consult a rheumatologist for this.
Thanks
