What Causes Constant Dry Cough Post Placement Of A Pace Maker?

In November 16 I changed my GP and consulted a new one. This GP Found I had a low heart rate of 40 beats per minute, she sent me for tests and all my arteries were clear no narrowing or blockages but I had fibrillation and moderately severe cardiomyopathy. Four weeks later I had a dual pacemaker inserted. Although I have a bit more energy I am constantly very cold, have a constant non productive cough and have tingles in my chest, what could this be?

Hi,

Post pacemaker implantation cough maybe not related to pacemaker unless you developed bradycardia or heart failure.

Yes, it is possible that heart failure may present as a dry cough with exertional dyspnea.

It may be viral lower respiratory tract infection or pneumonia etc.

Please consult your physician get done a chest X-ray, ECG, echocardiogram and get treated accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
