What Causes Constant Dizziness And Spasms In The Lower Back?

I have dizziness that happens approximately every 3-4 months. Recently my dizziness lasted a few days, followed by a few days of Costo Chondritis symptoms, this subsided, but I had spasms in my lower back right side, follows by spasms on the upper right , front side of my rib cage, and a feeling like someone is squeezing my ribs, intermittently. I just saw an acupuncturist. He said that if I don t respond to Motrin, acupuncture and cupping over the next few days, he wants me to do an MRI to check for Multiple Sclerosis. Does MS sound likely based on the above?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per your clinical history, your problem is not due to MS. So please follow like this:

1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor[rheumatologist] and to rule out other pathological causes, do MRI scan.

2) Discuss with your Doctor about TNF blocker like [Adalimumab].

3) Discuss with your physiotherapist about a specific exercise plan.

Do follow lifestyle modification like this:

1) Take rest and apply warm compression to the painful area.

2) Try to avoid smoking

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
