What Causes Constant Cough With Lumps On The Throat?

I have been experiencing continuous cough formation since last one month. There is not much coughing but a continuous cough formation is there. I smoke 1 cigarette a day. No blood is there in my cough. Took a course of medication from a throat specialist. It improved but after 5 days the cough formation decreased but now I can feel something present in my lower throat. Like contracted tube or a lump. Please tell me what's the actual problem

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain constant cough and lump in throat can be seen in a few cases like throat infection, inflammation caused due to acid reflux, smoking, post nasal drip, upper respiratory infection etc..
You should consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and he can do a laryngoscopy to have a detailed examination..
An endoscopy can also be advised..
As of now you can do warm salie gargles, completely quit smoking, take a course of antibiotics again and take a soft diet..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
