Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have constant pain on upper right side of my back near my spine. It often feels like air bubbles. They often worsen with stress. I believe i either strained a muscle or pinched a nerve in this area about 15 years ago lifting something heavy. Now the pain is now accompanied with air bubbles that move around as i stretch or sometimes by themselves.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement, Dr. Saurabh Gupta's Response
Hello, Thanks for your query.
From description , it seems you might developed muscular or ligamentous strain over back . Now if pain is constant ,I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the MRI of the area affected under his/her guidance. Meanwhile following measures will help with the pain • Lie on a hard bed. • Anti -inflammatory drugs like Tablet Motrin 1 tablet as and when required • Avoid forward bending. • Avoid strenuous activity & lifting heavy weights. • Apply diclofenac gel on the affected area. Warm compresses will also help.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
