What Causes Constant Abdominal Pain?

Hello, I am a 19 year old male and have moderate to sever pulsating pain in my lower to upper abdomen that radiates to lower back and hips as well as pencil like stool. I was recently constipated (lasting 6 days) and told to drink magnesium citrate a day ago. This made me produce diarrhea for about a day. That was yesterday and today these symptoms have occurred with a constant abdominal pain changing in severity throughout the day.

Hi.
Thank you for your Question.

As per your History, it seems to be more of a Renal Colic most likely due to stones in the Kidney or Ureter.I will advice you to have an Xray KUB done so as to confirm the diagnosis.Constipation can be due to lot of reasons like improper diet habit,Stress, inadequate water intake, etc.

My advice will be to have analgesics for subsiding the pain, drink plenty of water, avoid strenuous works.

Hope i answered your query.

Wishing you a Healthy Life.

Regards,
Dr.Arun Prasad
