What Causes Congestion In The Chest?

Have not felt well for over a week. Chest hurts and have trouble breathing. Was given steriods and inhaler. 5 days later still feel bad. Went back to doctor second time. She said me lungs sound clear but when taking a chest x-ray there was some cloudiness in the bottom of one lung. The doctor said my lungs sound clear but I am very constricted and feel really bad. What does the cloudiness mean?

Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you are having infection. As cloudiness in the chest usually means infiltration on chest x ray. And the most common cause for infiltration is pneumonia. So In my opinion you should stop steroids as steroids are immunosuppressive in nature and can flare up infection. So should be stopped in pneumonia. Better to start with broad spectrum antibiotic like fluoroquinolones. And get done repeat chest x ray after 10 days.
