Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a sinus tract. This is an opening through the skin surface that contains a tube-like structure that goes beneath the skin and varies in length from short to long.

There is frequently a small amount of yellow pus or blood in the opening.

The best specialist to evaluate your infant will be a pediatric ENT physician.

He/she will most likely want your baby to have an imagining study of his nose to determine where the possible tract goes and how long it is.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Arnold Zedd, Pediatrician
