What Causes Concussion After Head Injury?

I was recently in a traffic accident with a friend while drinking, I hit my head and don t even remember the impact. I ve been taking ibuprofen for headache but have just found out that s the worst to do when getting a concussion. Doctors offices haven t been open since this happened on Friday night, what should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If you are having persistent headache and memory loss then this may be an indication for a CT scan.
You may need to consider visiting an ER, if these symptoms continue.

Other reasons for CT would be: (1) seizures
(2)vomiting
(3)age older than 60
(4)drug or alcohol use
(5)visible trauma above the clavicle

You need to monitor for any additional symptoms

I hope this helps
