What Causes Coldness With Sudden Drop In Body Temperature?

hello doctor i would like to ask this for my husband, some times he suddenly feels very cold and starts shivering that time his body temperature also very low, if we give him any hot liquid then he will be recover so could you please tell me the reason and advise us a treatment for this symptoms

Hi,

The excess cold feeling could be due to a low metabolic rate secondary to hypothyroidism.

I suggests you investigate by CBC and serum TSH estimation for primary workup.

If TSH high than treatment for hypothyroidism needs to be done. Kindly revert back with reports once done.
