What Causes Cloudy Urine, Blood In Urine And Right-sided Abdomen?

hi, my 17 year old son has had what we thought was a bladder infection since this last weekend. His urine is very cloudy and has had small amounts of blood. Although lately he s experiencing pain in both is back and right side of stomach. Today he has started to vomit some and has a high fever. I m debating taking him to the E.R. tonight because he cant get rest. Do you think this sounds like a typical bladder infection or possibly a kidney or appendicitis?

Hi welcome to HCM...

Your son having cloudy urine with presence of pus cells and RBC ...

So he is having acute urinary tract infection , chances of kidney infection like pyelonephritis seems to be more here as compared to cystitis ...

He needs to investigate with USG abdomen and urine culture ....

Full course of antibiotic therapy needed like cefixime or ciprofloxacin group of drugs ...

Meanwhile drink more water and cranberry juice is beneficial ...

Avoid excess spicy foods ....

According to examination if needed he should be admitted to hospital ...and if needed I.v .infusion of ceftriaxone might needed if severity more
